Here are a few tips and ideas on what sort of gear you'll need to survive a weekend in the wastes.
*Extra socks! I put this first because I have always felt it is the most important when out camping for a weekend.
* Extra footwear. This kind of goes along with the whole sock thing.
*Extra clothing. One thing I always forget when I go larping is a fresh change of clothes for the trip home on Sunday
*Your post apocalypse themed costume. Finally a larp where you don't need to worry about anachronisms!
*Spare costuming. There is a good chance your character will die and you'll need a back up character with discernible features not like your previous character.
* An airsoft gun. Make sure it is under 350 FPS and has the orange tip on the barrel!
* A boffer. Pleasant Hills isn't just about shooting each other, you may find times when a melee weapon is your best friend.
* Reps for anything your character can produce. Chems, bandages, traps, etc.
* A flashlight or glowstick. Finally a larp game where you're not restricted to candlelight!
* Sleeping gear. While we will usually have room in the cabin for sleeping, it always helps to have a tent.
* Shower stuff? I know we're trying to establish a setting in game where people haven't had enough clean water to drink let alone bathe in, but at least bring a stick of deodorant will ya?
Thanks to the setting there is a chance for you to use all sorts of items and devices you usually wouldn't be able to at other Heroic games.
Just remember that before your character can use that MP3 player, they'll need a tag for it first.
What NOT to bring
*Airsoft guns that knowingly will not pass the marshal's safety check.
*Your own airsoft pellets. We'll be supplying all the ammo for you to loot or craft.
