Written in fine golden ink, embellished as only a true professional could, the following is distributed on thick parchment paper:
House Cathmoore brings you tidings as we near spring in the Manor and wishes well to you and yours.
The first order of business is: an updated census.
We need any who claim residence in the Manor, their family and their goods of consequence to be catalogued -- by Order of The Queen Herself. We will be visiting the lands as able, and encourage those who claim residence to visit the Manor House to visit with me to be recorded. Any resident will be allowed to make a claim on a farm or other fee within the Manor, subject to taxation, upon approval of the House. But, any who is not counted during the census will be a "visitor", and may apply for use of a farm or other holding until next year's census, when, should they become a resident, they may apply for claim.
The second order of business is: a recent account of the resources and households of the manor by way of cartographer.
A very brave member of The Adventurer's Guild, known as ZD has taken upon this task. Any that wish to assist her will be rewarded with coin and accolades as well.
The third order of business is: someone to lead the Elementalist's Guild.
Lord Michael is personally looking for someone to lead the Elementalist's Guild in Dragon's Hearth. If the applicant not be of the house, they will be allowed to join, and lead provisionally until such time as the posting is made permanent. If you are interested in becoming an applicant, please contact me so that I can make record and present all who are interested to Lord Michael.
The fourth order of business is: Reeves needed.
We need Reeves trusted by both the House and by those they will serve. Any who is backed by 10 households who wishes to become Reeve of their settlement or village may present themselves for Lord Michael's approval. If an election is needed, we will hold public elections beginning March 1.
The last order of business is: taxes are due.
Should anyone wish to ask for leniency, given the recovery of the Manor after the war, they may apply. Anyone who is conducting business or living within the Manor should bring their taxes, up to 10% of their business for the last year, to the Manorhouse or to their Reeve who will issue them a writ discharging their burden and record their contribution. Should they fail to pay by April 1, they will be in default and subject to the law.
As always, you are invited to visit the Manor or to contact myself or Castellan Ulrik if you have questions. If you need to request a meet with Lord Michael, that may be done through myself or Castellan Ulrik as well.
