Hellos everyone!
After the last event I've finished all my armor but my helm for my costume and it seemed as if everyone liked it. If you would like to commission anything from me, feel free to post it here.
My leather working experience is a total of around 4 months but I have become very adept at it. I can see myself making just about everything. Anything that you throw at me that seems far advanced, or that I may have trouble making, don't worry, I have 2 experts I can go to that can help me.
What I've made:
- formed fox mask
- double D-ring tension belt
- half, single shouldered chest armor w/
pauldron
- shin guards (greaves) w/ hinged
foot plates
- lower arm guards (bracers)
- harded gusset (side) pouches
(Resistant to collapse if fallen on)
Techniques involved
- basic leather working
- tooling (etching in designs)
- lacing
- hardening
- wet forming
- loosening
- hand sewn
- riviting
- painting
- slicking
- antiquing
As far as costs, I'm only charging for materials I don't have and their costs, hardwear, dyes, time or complexity, and a minor bit for craftmenship. I'm mainly just doing this for the joy I get from leather working and seeing my pieces in use.
I do negotiate and depending on the situation, I may do a payment plan/layaway.
Please understand, large projects like torso armor may take a while to make due to the fact that I am in college, and when I'm not, I'm at work. None the less, I will get them done in a reasonable amount of time.
Lastly, I want to use this forum for a log of orders, but I would like to either talk, text, or message (facebook) for all of the details. Just post here for any ideas you may have and we can talk them out.
