Lads and Lassies -- I have received a message from my late husband's family. It seems tha what we thought was a brutal killing by a band of gnolls might have been somethin' else, somethin' magical in nature that targeted him specifically. I have enjoyed bein' with my blood kin and birth clan, but I swore an oath to my husband when we married, and I owe it to him to find out the truth of his death. I"ll be headin' back to his clan's lands soon.
As ye fortify the tavern, be keen on what Bowen said -- fire's coming. Heat hotter than any summer he ever been akin to. Make sure you're usin' more metal and stone than wood to fortify it. Go listen to what he said he saw: heroic-nebraska.boards.net/thread/179/south
To my clan kin, keep fightin' the good fight against the gnolls, listening to tha Clan Warden Cork, keep lookin' for Cloch's faculties and keep smithin'. I hope ta see ye all again some day when my husband's death...or murder, has been understood.
I gave my word to Quick Wit that I would make him a bow, just fer him. I was going ta call it "The Legacy", since he was finally pickin' up his race's legacy of using bows. I'll still make that bow, some day. Till then, I owe him.
